Professional Activities
Dr. Kanahe Kagorora is a Senior Lecturer and Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences and his responsibilities at Mountains of the Moon University are 20% research,20% administration and 60% teaching.
He teaches Plant Pathology and Microbiology but contributes to other courses in the school. His research program concentrates in the area of Plant diseases with a focus on fruits and vegetables with a firm reliance of integrated disease control methods.
Dr. Kagorora has conducted research on diseases of a number of crops, including citrus, Passion fruit, Tomatoes, pineapples and mycotoxins of stored maize, cassava and sweet potatoes.
Before joining MMU he worked both as a Dissemination Specialist and Project Manager with the World Agro forestry Centre (ICRAF), Research Officer with the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) Uganda, Phytosanitary Officer, Plant Protection and Quarantine, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF)Uganda and as an Agricultural Officer, Agricultural extension (MAAIF) Uganda
