Mountains of the Moon University

Introduction

The Certificate in Business Management (CBMT) is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the Business Management field, and to enhance practical skills for individuals currently employed in management related positions. The program of study provides a strong basis in the areas of accounting, management, and information technology.

Course Objectives

The location of Mountains of the Moon University in a region with education levels very low necessitated the start of lower level courses to enable people who would never have dreamt to access university education access quality education. As a community focused Institution MMU Business School introduced certificate programs to enable people who would otherwise dropout at O’level access a bridging course that can lead to Bachelors degree.

Course Duration

The entire period of study of the Certificate programs is one academic year. Each academic year consists of two semesters of seventeen weeks each the last two weeks of each semester being devoted to examinations.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements to join the program:

• Sat U.C.E examination (or equivalent) and obtained a certificate in it.
  
  
• Have at least four passes one of which is English language obtained at the same sitting, or its equivalent.

Career Prospects for Graduates

The Certificate in Business Management prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the Business Management field and also for further study.
