In many African Universities training in Public Health is mainly at postgraduate level. This renders it difficult to produce enough Public Health professionals for public health services. Yet it is a very well known fact that no country can perform better than its educational system.
Horticulture products like fruits, flowers, medical plants, vegetables, landscaping plants, and spices are becoming key commodities on the domestic and international markets. Stakeholders in horticulture sector are increasingly faced with production constraints such as resource managing, crop pests and diseases, harvest and post harvest handling, and horticultural product marketing.
Our legacy, established over the last 4 years, is one of identifying tough problems in teaching and learning in schools then tackling them head on through teacher training, linking research to practice and bringing what we've learned from inquiry to our teaching.
