Academic Calendar
The academic year is divided into two semesters consisting of seventeen weeks each, with the last two weeks allocated to examination period. The first semester runs from the end of the month of August to the third week of the month of December. The second semester will run from the beginning of the month of January to the end of the month of April. The period beginning with May to the third week of August will be a Recess period-where students are expected to be involved on hands on experience (Field attachment) in the relevant field they are pursuing at the degree level.

The admissions committee will consider all applications in the order in which they were received. Prospective candidates will be notified of its decision. Students should note that all documents will be considered the property of the University.
University Intakes
The University has two intakes- August and September. For this Academic year 20011/2012, the first intake for Under-Graduates is scheduled for 9th August, 2011 while the Second intake for Post-Graduates will be on 14th September, 2012.

Students are already applying for both intakes. You can download the application form from our website: www.mmu.ac.ug, pick it from the University campus in Fort-portal or from any of our contact offices in the country. The application form is only at 15000/= (Fifteen thousand shilling only)
